Developing a Collaborative Model for Crop Production Improvement with a Farmer Group in South Ostrobothnia

The project is co-funded by the European Union.
Project period: February 2026 – January 2028

The aim of the farmer group project is to develop a new collaborative model for improving crop production together with 10 participating farmers and Atria. The project is being implemented with 10 farmers in South Ostrobothnia, with the aim of creating a model that can later be expanded to all Atria farmers in the South Ostrobothnia region.
The key focus areas are improving crop yields and cost efficiency while reducing environmental impacts. Cooperation and a strong sense of community among the farmers are central elements of the project.
The participating farmers take part in joint workshops and peer group meetings where experiences are shared, participants learn from one another, and new practices are developed together with other farmers and Atria representatives.
Benchmarking enables farmers to compare their results and operating practices, supporting continuous development and the sharing and adoption of best practices.
